I have been lucky enough to work with Anna over the last 3 years and she has been a huge asset to our team. Anna has supported us since we were a small startup that was only 2 years old with 10 employees and very little process when it came to our day-to-day finances and very little understanding of our management accounts. Anna worked alongside me to help establish bookkeeping and monthly accounting workflows that were repeatable and scalable. Despite being an entrepreneur, I had little to no experience with finance and Anna supported my learning experience with no judgment. The processes she implemented into Geollect enabled us to have a stronger understanding of the health of the business, as we could start to compare our forecasts to our budgets in a more automated way.

Five years into our startup journey, Geollect was approached to be acquired by a larger UK-based company. We agreed to enter into the acquisition process and so kicked off the due diligence phase. We could not have been as efficient as we were through the DD process without Anna as our FD. Regardless of time of day, or day of the week, Anna was quick to support when I had urgent questions. Her organisational skills meant that we were ready with the majority of the requested due diligence documentation from the get-go. The finance team that was hired by the acquirer provided such great feedback after we completed due diligence, they said it was one of the best financial models and supporting accounts they had seen and that we were responsive and open with all answers to their queries. I can honestly say Anna was critical to our successful completion of the financial due diligence phase. As a result of her expertise, sector knowledge, quick-thinking, and accounting skills we were successfully acquired!

Although we are part of a larger organisation now, Anna is critical to our monthly accounting processes. She’s been able to swiftly navigate the new processes that our owners have implemented and once again, is helping me learn.
